moving past the ruined building in the previous post, this is the panoramic view as one walks toward the ocean.
we sacrifice some detail when downsizing a panoramic 11000+ pixel image to 800 px for aminus3... but I wanted to give a sense of scale and the immensity of the sky. the cloudhead about 1/3 of the way in from the left is the same formation in the backdrop of this shot. the clouds and refracted light shifted continuously: we spent ages simply soaking up the changing sky and sea - some closer views are coming up.
pp: this is a composite of four frames shot using a tripod, adjusted (white balance & exposure) in camera raw, and stitched together using ps.
a question for those who know more about photoshop than I: this shot was processed from the raw file to fine tune the white balance and match wb and exposures across this series of shots. there were strong reds, oranges and yellows in the sky, as seen in Valhalla, which was processed from the camera-produced jpg... but I haven't been able to coax these same strong golden shades from the raw file. any advice?
