Through The Glass

Posted by

twillingate, newfoundland, canada

this photograph was taken from inside the masonic temple in twillingate, nl. the glass in the windows of the masonic temple is very old. its buckled surface and odd refractive index distorted the outside scene, which is a typical view of a small fishing outport in newfoundland.

technical notes for those who may be interested - instead of trying to focus past the distortion I decided to work with it by using a low f-stop and focusing on the window frame. other than a slight crop no pp has been applied.

thanks for your visits and comments. I'm looking forward to catching up on all your recent photoblog posts :)
