neat shot. i like the composition and colors. my initial reaction is that i get bothered by the lack of sharpness, probably since i try so hard to make my own photos look sharper, but at the same time, the way some of the green blurs into the blue sky gives it a slighty watercolor feel that's neat too

@danthro: the softness was (iirc) semi-deliberate. this was taken a while ago so I'm not sure how deliberate :) the scene would have been sharper - i.e. a greater dof - if I'd used a higher f-stop. this part of the everglades felt otherworldly, and the watercolour feel of the trees dissolving into the sky captures the somewhat ethereal sense of the place.
the way shots are 'developed' is a mix of personal preference and equipment. I'm not too hung up on sharpness (because with some attention I can mostly control that) but I do get a bit frustrated by the colour produced by my camera. sigh...
Like the delicacy of this one. The light is fine and the pale greens are lovely. I think the lack of sharpness (in this case) helps to add to the atmosphere.
