my comment was not meant to be constructuve and neither poetic, though i actually see how it is both now. and 'yes' you are correct, there was neither warmth, except for the reference to the 'burn' in my statement. i have the right to state if i want a flag to be burned just as you have the right to post a picture of it. if you were disappointed with my comment then i am sorry, but what on earth can you be disappointed about? that i didn't worship your picture or the flag therin? if you had posted a picture of a marshmallow and i had said the same thing, would you still be disappointed?

@Raskolniikov: I was disappointed that your comment was irrelevant, unconstructive, and political, and that you chose to post in semi-anonymity by not including the default link to your aminus3 photoblog.
I am not interested in your - or anyone else's - political opinions. aminus3 is not the forum for that... there are plenty of people on here whose views and values differ from my own, but I respect each person's right to their own space and own opinions on *their* aminus3 blog. a "rah, rah, USA, death to Khamenei and Kim Jong Il" comment would have been just as inappropriate as yours, and I would have responded in a similar manner.
The comments I am interested in on aminus3 are those that help me see deeper into pictures from a purely visual perspective - commentary on light, composition, lines, action, etc. (Note my comment regarding your shot). The lines and light were what drew me to taking this picture, and it was technically tricky because I was shooting toward the light. [this shot has no pp]
Incidentally, you shouldn't assume a right to freedom of speech - although you apparently live in the wicked west, based on your appearance and poetry you probably know something about more repressive regimes. Freedom of speech certainly isn't a global right.
My advice: keep your political opinions to yourself except on your own aminus3 page, and try to keep your comments on others' blogs constructive and friendly.

I write this not to defend the comment made by Raskolniikov, but to say this, i think this was taken to
heart and if you were to know him, you would know that he has a silly sick sense of humour and does not
take anything too seriously. Nor does he mean to cause harm, he is naughty but not a terrorist. Just to let
you know, he is not a bad guy, just demented.
