we drove through the storm (really) and emerged on the other side to witness more pyrotechnics in the sky. this dilapidated farmhouse is near Laugarbrekka, by the Guðríðr Þorbjarnardóttir memorial.
life is especially manic at the moment. thanks for your visit, and I hope to catch up with comments/responses and visit your blogs in a few days' time.

this and the preceding eight shots were all taken within a span of approximately two hours.
good thing the nights were long :)

Wonderful sky shot, but it's more than that. It has a great foreground to compliment it with the beautiful clean snow and the ruined building. Lovey combination of colors as well.

Stunning and a bit sad, I had thoughts of who might have lived in that house, and whether it was hard or very easy to leave this gorgeous but challenging spot.
