even swans feel the urge to scratch the itch...

the grey blur behind the cob's head is his webbed foot moving at high speed in a familiar motion reminiscent of a dog or cat. I liked the action of this shot and the spreading ripples, which reminded me of an old vinyl lp.
the previous shot was taken a few moments later.


technical notes: both shots were taken at -0.67 and at high ISO to retain the detail in the swan's white feather's despite the dark background.
no pp apart from a crop of dead water for either shot, mostly because I wouldn't know how to selectively enhance the contrast further. any pp advice would be welcome.
