Into The Clouds

this isn't a classically strong composition, but something about this shot grabbed me, and I keep coming back to this image.

this shot was taken a few minutes before the previous two in this series: we were flying into the cloud strata that formed the brilliant abstract sunrise above earth's insulating clouds.


technical notes - I've done absolutely no pp to this shot: we flew into and through bizarre pink clouds full of reflected sunlight. you can see the first wisps of one on the left-hand side of this frame, with more in the background. they were really cool and flying through them was a funky experience, but unsurprisingly a lens full of pink cloud turns out to be not such an interesting image.
as barbara notes, there are times when it is best to put down the camera and simply enjoy the experience :)
