Spyhop

spyhopping is a characteristic behaviour of orcas: they turn their bodies vertically and extend their heads above the water in order to scan the horizon, search for prey, and curiously investigate what humans are up to.

we were fortunate to see a double spyhop, with two animals surfacing at once.
