Orcas at PlayPosted by baobab (Cambridge, United States) on 29 September 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. strait of juan de fuca british columbia canada while in BC I had the opportunity to go whale watching. we were very lucky and saw a large group of transient (meat-eating) orcas who were frolicking and socializing and generally having a good time. this is a shot of part of the pod with the lighthouse at race rocks ecological reserve in the background. along with the adults this group had a baby calf - you can see her splashing around on the right. --- we live in a beautiful world --- your feedback and suggestions are always appreciated - thanks for visiting
