Urban View IV : Sulphur

massive piles of bright yellow sulphur form a landmark on the northern shore of vancouver's burrard inlet. I'm not sure where it comes from or who uses it, but the bright yellow pyramids are visible from the city's downtown waterfront.

this shot was from the seaplane as we were taking off. the sulphur is an intense yellow but for some reason the camera didn't quite capture that colour - or perhaps the window glass filtered out that particular wavelength of light.

not necessarily an artistic shot, but for some reason these piles of sulphur have always fascinated me.
