canada is blessed with a lot of natural resources: minerals, agricultural goods and timber. many of these find their way to world markets via the port of vancouver, and they reach the port aboard cargo trains.

canada's economy is booming due to the recent rise in commodity prices. construction is hectic throughout the country, particularly in vancouver which is engaged in a lot of major projects prior to hosting the 2010 winter olympics.
