I got a D300 a few days ago. so far I haven't taken many pictures: things are crazy-busy and I'm just starting to get to grips with it.
out for a walk yesterday evening the snaking lines of light caught my attention, and I happened to be there at exactly the right moment for this shot.

technical notes - this shot into blinding glare was a test of the D300's capabilities. the image is straight from the D300 with no filters, pp or special effects (just a slight in-camera step down in exposure comp to optimize the light). EFIX data was lost when I reuploaded to create the border - it is NIKON D300, 1/1000 second, F/5.6, ISO 200, 300 mm
for those considering whether a D300 is worth the investment, so far I *love* the camera.

more newfoundland pictures to follow, but I had to share this one :)
