for some reason i see this shot and think of Anne of Green Gables, which is even weirder since I never read it and only saw parts of a couple of the movies. i'm just waiting for some horse drawn carriage to come around the bend.

@danthro: There is a carriage house/stables around the corner, but they are now occupied by people rather than horses.

I had almost said: looks very Dutch but it's in Belgium, almost Dutch (although a Belgian would deny that strongly - they feel themselves rather Chinese than Dutch when asked :). Light and color are soft and yet expressive, the same tones as in my Belgian picture of the Postel Abbey. Thanks for showing!

@Illuci: well, they do speak Flemish in Wezembeek... :-)

Thanks for sharing your Postel Abbey link. One good thing about 'soft' days (as the Irish refer to them) is that ordinarily dull surfaces can seem to glow: very different from bright sunlight.
