Lift Off

While aboard aircraft I amuse myself by taking photos with my point and shoot pocket camera. It's a totally different experience from using a "real" camera: no time to set up, frame the image, control the light, DOF or focus - just the most ephemeral moments often caught at odd angles and in weird light. One must seize the moment or it is gone forever. Though the images are often technically bad the exercise is spontaneous and fun and remarkably freeing.

This image is from my Monday morning departure.

I am travelling at the moment with very little time online. Thanks for visiting and for your comments - I look forward to catching up with your blogs soon.
